I CHOOSE ME, YOU CHOOSE YOU!
"'I LOVE YOU"
Facing the mirror, have you ever smiled at yourself and said I love you? Like how you say it to people, have you tried doing it to yourself? Probably not.
But if yes, then I am proud of you. Reminding yourself how much love you are giving yourself is some self-love you have there.

Putting aside other questions, WHAT IS SELF-LOVE?
It is the act of developing a loving relationship with oneself. It entails prioritizing our own needs and wants, accepting ourselves for who we are, and caring for our bodily, psychological and emotional requirements.
It can be difficult to love oneself when we've been taught to put others before ourselves. We were taught to care about other people, worry for them, and stay with them when they need us. We struggle to keep up a committed self-love practice since making time for ourselves produces guilt. People will think you are selfish if you think about yourself first. It is indeed frustrating. We find it hard to give ourselves permission to experience the self-love we know we need. How ironic, isn't it?
The self-love movement is gaining around in the time we live in, but because practicing it goes against everything we were taught as children, we struggle with it. Most of us did not learn self-love in our households, and we never learned about it in school either.
WHAT EXACTLY DID WE LEARN?
We were taught to put others before ourselves. Success is crucial, as we discovered. We discovered the value of putting in a lot of effort to succeed financially. However, we never learned how to maintain our energy levels during the travel. We never learned how to stay motivated and fueled as we go along the journey we've been given.
WHY WOULD YOU PRACTICE SELF-LOVE?
Self-love is crucial because it enriches our interpersonal interactions, boosts our confidence and self-esteem, and improves our mental health. But because of many barriers like critical self-talk, comparison to others, and failure-related dread, practicing self-love can be difficult. At some point in our lives, we must look back to when we used to stare down on our feet, feeling completely useless and drained. Think about what made you feel those negative descriptions of yourself and get over it. Then, smile. You got your back, and you will lift yourself up. Raising your self-esteem might be really hard to do but when you see the worth in you, you will slowly crawl to yourself until you lift your chin up and walk confidently with a strong mindset.

Self-love pushes you to take care of your own needs. The moment you decide to love yourself, priorities would be the first thing to pop out in your head and you will start to ponder about what you need at the moment. You will begin to wonder what you needed the most. You will wonder you failed to prioritize your needs and also why you missed the chance to recognize that you were needing.
We can all agree that the results of self-love can feel pretty wonderful for those who have experienced its power. You will undergo changes the minute you begin to love yourself. Things will start to fall into place magically and life starts to go along with more ease. Things will go better in relationships. Health gains. After that, life will feel fantastic. There are innumerable amazing advantages to loving yourself first and developing that close, internal bond.
Self-love is also about taking responsibility for your actions and the way you choose to be perceived by others. You only acquire a victim attitude when you refuse to acknowledge your own contribution to your circumstances. You will start to see things differently. Your lessons are important than trying to ignore them. Ownership gives you power.
Accepting all your defeats from the past is the same as swallowing your pride to say sorry to someone you hurt. It will be hard to admit that you are wrong but it is for the better. You made mistakes before and that lead you to the pain you suffer but when you admit and accept it, you swallow your pride to say sorry to yourself and make up to it by healing your own wounds.
Self-love is not selfish. Connecting to your innermost needs, appreciating the freedom of being who you are, and honoring who you really are while letting go of your destructive thoughts are all aspects of self-love. It might be a natural thing for people to think that you are selfish if you put yourself before others but it is not true. As for you, stop thinking that it is not good to think about yourself first. There is a reason why there is a so-called "Me time'. It is spending quality time with yourself while getting to know what you really feel and what you really want to do. It is putting an effort to deciding what is really best for you and that won't ever be bad unless you act wrongly.
Stop seeking happiness outside of you. You won't find it unless you recognize the awaiting joy in yourself first. Try saying I love you to yourself in front of the mirror. The more love you show yourself, the better you feel. And the better you feel, the happier you become. You are in-charge of your happiness and self-love is the first step in finding it.
LOVING YOURSELF IS FANTASTIC.
It is a divine friendship that will help you significantly enhance every element of your life. So go on, drop the guilt and embrace having a deep, loving relationship with you. Have fun along the journey and discover the wonders of falling in love with yourself first before others.
CHOOSE YOURSELF! BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE WILL DO, IF THE WORLD TURNS AGAINST YOU!
